The Logan County Fiscal Court is composed of the county judge/executive and six magistrates representing districts in Logan County. The fiscal court is responsible for the appropriation of county funds, the construction, operation and maintenance of county buildings, roads and other property and for the incarceration of prisoners.
In addition, KRS 67.710 designates the county judge/executive the chief executive of the county. The judge/executive is specifically charged with the execution of all ordinances and resolutions of the fiscal court, all contracts entered into by the fiscal court and all state laws subject to enforcement by him. The judge/executive is responsible for preparation of the county budget, oversight of county funds, financial reports to fiscal court and fiscal record keeping.
Meetings of the Logan County Fiscal Court are open to the public and are held every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Logan County Courthouse located at 200 West Fourth Street in Russellville.
