Several streets within a few blocks of the center of town are a "Green Thumbs" delight. Red River Fish & Game Habitat

The Red River Fish & Game Habitat was founded nearly 50 years ago. The property was purchased from the James family who were kin folk of the famous Jesse and Frank James. The beautiful James Lake and property has recently been restored. The Habitat is a unique organization that has over 200 families as members.and offers a wide range of activities for the community. The Habitat's clubhouse is used for family reunions, wedding receptions, fund raisers for numerous charitable organizations in the community, exercise classes and other community activities. The lake is used for recreation and fishing. Classes are offered for fishing and gun safety. There are also archery classes, turkey shoots and target shooting. There is a regular calendar of activities for the community. Membership is available to all interested citizens.

Red River Settlement

The Red River Settlement and Meeting House is dedicated to preserving the past for future generations of people to enjoy.

2nd Annual Blanket/Trade Day in April at the Red River Meeting House Schochoh, Kentucky
This is a time line event focusing on portrayals of frontier militia, military units and civilians from 1750-1815. Portions will be filmed for another historic site’s use in their welcome center’s film.
Firewood and water are furnished. No camp fee. No pets. Adjacent camping area for modern tents and campers without water or electric hookup.

The 3rd weekend in June a two day event dedicated to studying the history of Christianity leading up to the "Great Revival of 1800". People camp on the grounds and dress in period clothing. The Annual Meeting of the Association is held the 2nd Sunday in September with dinner on the grounds, preaching, singing and a business meeting. The 2nd Weekend in October reenactors exhibit the period lifestyle of the Great Revival 1800 or the "Second Great Awakening" with demonstrations and non-denominational church services.

Southern Lakes Bicycle Route

Kentucky has several state designated bicycle routes which traverse the state. Logan County and Adairville, Ky. are lucky enough to have the Southern Lakes Bicycle route run East/West through out the southern portion of the county and also the center of Adairville.

The bike route enters Logan County on US 591 at the Simpson County line and US 102 at the Todd County line. This route crosses the southern portion of the state and is identified in dark blue on the bike map.

A Special Place

Some communities have a special place that you just can't resist stepping into. Adairville has just such a place. It's called the Country Angel.
